The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) was established in 1922. The FEB provides a high-level business curriculum with a strong academic basis for the national and international undergraduate and postgraduate market. The faculty has an excellent national and international reputation. The study programmes at the FEB reflect Amsterdam's international, entrepreneurial, intellectual and socially responsible traditions.The staff, student body, study programmes and research all have a strong international focus. The faculty has a top-ten ranking in research among European Economic departments. The Amsterdam Business School has a Triple Crown status, being AMBA, EQUIS and AACSB accredited. Furthermore, the University of Amsterdam is member of the prestigious international networks Universitas 21 and League of European Research Universities (LERU).

Program open to incoming students:
There is a limited availability of courses in the Spring semester. Depending on your course admissibility and preference (please check the course catalogue), it might difficult / impossible to obtain 30 ECTS in the Spring semester. We, therefore, recommend the Fall semester.
Special rules for course selection:
Please note that students need to have a relevant bachelor degree in order to be admitted to the courses of the specific programmes. They also need to have a strong quantitative background (Mathematics).
Economics
QTEM Students should have taken courses in Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Econometrics, Game Theory, Mathematics and Statistics in order to be admissible to UvA MSc Economics courses.
Finance
QTEM Students should have taken courses in Investment and Portfolio Theory, Advanced Corporate Finance, Management Accounting, Financial Accounting, Econometrics, Mathematics, Statistics in order to be admissible to UvA MSc Finance courses.
Actuarial Science and Mathematical Finance
QTEM Students should have taken courses in Calculus, Linear Algebra, Statistics, Investment and Portfolio Theory, Actuarial Mathematics and Actuarial Risk Theory in order to be admissible to UvA MSc ASMF courses.
Econometrics
QTEM Students should have taken courses in Econometrics, Mathematical Economics, Game Theory, Mathematics, Statistics (Finance: for Financial Econometrics courses only) in order to be admissible to UvA MSc Econometrics courses.
